Getting started with therapy can sometimes be intimidating. Here are some suggestions for moving forward:

  • Check out a few other providers and always trust your intuition. Ask yourself how you feel about them. If you don’t feel the possibility of safety and trust – keep looking.
  • Remember this is your process – you get to make the decisions. And even if you have gotten as far as a consult, it’s alright to tell them you don’t feel it’s a good fit or to just leave.
